Léa Valentin
Born in 1992, lives and works in Paris and the south of
France
Graduate of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne Université, trained in ceramic arts at the prestigious Manufacture de Sèvres and École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art in Paris, Léa Valentin develops her artistic research across multiple mediums, focusing on the encounter with oneself through and within the artwork.
Using a limited visual vocabulary in minimalist compositions, she deeply explores her chosen palette, vivid orange and graphite black, within spaces that become integral to her work. Her relationship with space and experience leads the viewer on a journey that is both physical and introspective. Her approach, which engages the artist’s presence through a sensitive act of creation, reflects a broader exploration of time and the imprint of gesture.
In her ongoing series, Dessins d’angles (angles drawings), she engages her body within a fragment of space, leaving its trace through presence and the textured effects of graphite strokes.
